Artist’s Becky & Joe gave YCN a glimpse into how their film for Tame Impala was made and show us some laborious process shots.


Since finding their niche in playful costumes and brightly coloured sets Becky & Joe have been on a high. Creating work for the likes of Selfridges and now Tame Impala their work is distinctively synonymous with their names.
Their most recent commission was to create a film for Tame Impala’s track Feel’s Like We Only Go Backwards and involved a ton of plasticine collages and loops that were meticulously drawn, molded and photographed. The video is a brilliant piece of work and perfectly complements the psychedelic tones of the track. The use of plasticine as a medium was well chosen and below you can see a few process shots of how much work went into create each loop.
